HERITAGE RAILWAYS - THINGS ARE RARELY WHAT THEY USED TO BE
As you can surely imagine, the 16mm Association is a dynamic, forward-thinking, progressive institution that prides itself on being up-to-date in all matters 32mm.
However, that's not to say we ignore our debt to the pioneers of the hobby. Everything starts somewhere, and for us it was in the early 60's and 70's, when a few like-minded souls got together and started running 16mm to the foot trains in their gardens.
For some years the Association's annual show has featured displays of heritage stock, not to mention auctions and the occasional run-out on a nearby layout.
Derek Wiggins and Nigel Town are two of the leading lights in SM32 heritage, and have collaborated to produce a bimonthly newsletter on the topic. This is Issue Four.
